Placing a Young Person with Marvellous Care
If you would like to place a Young Person with Marvellous Care please to confirm that we have places available.
If there are places and the young person meets our eligibility criteria, we will send you a referral form to complete so that Marvellous Care can make a decision on whether we are able to accept your referral.

• Who is likely to be violent towards other residents or staff.

Next Steps
Step one (Referral Process)
Marvellous Care will check the young person’s eligibility to join the programme
Step two (Interview)
Assuming initial eligibility is met we will invite the Young Person along with any family member, support worker and social worker to an interview to discuss their needs and their suitability
Step three (Accepting a Place)
If everyone is in agreement then a place will be offered and a date will be set for admission.
The young person is more than welcome to visit Marvellous Care before the admission date if there is time. If they would like and there is a room available they can stay overnight and meet the other residents before they move in.
Step four (Arriving at Marvellous Care)
We will welcome the young person to Marvellous Care and do everything we can to make the move a pleasant experience.
A designated care worker will meet formally on the day of the move to go through the main ground rules and procedures. This meeting can answer any initial questions the young person may have to get them settled in.
A further personal meeting will be set up during the first week to discuss the young person’s main aspirations and to enable us to run through the services we offer. This meeting will result in the first draft of a personal development plan which will be regularly reviewed and built upon to ensure the young person gets as much benefit as possible from their stay.
Step five (Leaving Marvellous Care)
For every resident coming to the end of their stay with us we will help them in every way to make that finale step.
We hope that after residing with us, going through our training and being supported by our professional care workers that our young people will be ready to become truly independent and lead successful and fulfilling lives.
